IQS Travel is celebrating after winning the Social Enterprise West Midlands (SEWM) 'Choose Social Enterprise' SE Profit Award - IQS Travel being a social enterprise owned by Sandwell charity Ideal for All.
All profit made is invested back into the charity which supports local disabled, disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
IQS Travel offers a vast range of holidays to suit all tastes and requirements. What really makes the company stand out above the rest is that it specialises in holidays for disabled people.
IQS Travel was set up this year by Ideal for All as a response to what local disabled people were saying about the lack of holidays and choice available for people with specific accessibility requirements. The company caters for all kinds of holidays as well as specialising in short breaks and holidays for disabled people, their families and carers.
Carol Goff, Chair of Ideal for All said: “We are delighted to be awarded the Social Enterprise Profit Award. Our travel service is aimed at everyone but we saw that there was a gap in the market for accessible holidays. We have had a lot of positive feedback from people that have booked holidays through us and it is fantastic to be recognised by Social Enterprise West Midlands as a leading social enterprise in the region.”
Melanie Mills, SEWM Chief Executive said: “The awards were a great way to celebrate Social Enterprise and highlight some of the outstanding work that is going on right across the West Midlands.
All of the winners have very different business models, but all share the same ethos for delivering first-class services and products while ensuring a positive social impact.”
She added: “In IQS Travel’s case this includes providing an essential travel service to disabled people who want an alternative to the box standard high street offer.”
