SANDWELL BY THE SEA AT HALF-TERM
It’s just a short hop to the seaside in landlocked Sandwell when a historic house hosts a beach for some half-term fun.
During the school break Manor House in Hall Green Road is opening a giant sandpit and putting on family craft activities from Monday May 29 to Friday June 2 with free admission.
The seaside theme kicks off with Manor House By The Sea, featuring donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows, seaside activities and crafts are all happening in the pretty grounds of the house on Bank Holiday Monday May 29, from 11am-3pm. Jane Hanney, Sandwell museums manager, said: “Bring a picnic and come to a beach on your doorstep.
There will be lots of family fun activities in the lovely setting of Sandwell’s Manor House. "On Bank Holiday Monday have a donkey ride or enjoy an ice cream as you sit around our ‘man made’ beach on one of the deckchairs and enjoy making some crafts and much more."
