Education Endowment Foundation Launches New Funding Round (England)

The Education Endowment Foundation, which seeks to improve the educational attainment of disadvantaged pupils, has launched a new funding round to improve educational outcomes for 3-18 year olds.

The Foundation is particularly interested in:

• Maths outcomes Key Stage 2/3

• Projects that aim to develop a set of attitudes, skills and behaviours that are thought to underpin success in school and work, such as self-control, social skills, motivation, and resilience

• And science programmes across both primary and secondary schools, particularly those looking to improve whole class teaching through CPD.

The Foundation can only fund projects that will work for the benefit of pupils and settings in England.

The Foundation do not fund projects in one or very small numbers of schools/settings.

Their smallest projects have been in 3-4 schools, but are typically in more than 50, and often over 80, institutions.

To be eligible the applicant must be a not-for-profit organisation, such as a school, charity, social enterprise, local authority or university; etc.

The Foundation does not have a set minimum or maximum size of grant.

Past EEF grants have ranged from £90,000 to £1.5million.

The closing date for applications is the 9th June 2017.
